Winter Rock Challenge winners Horus Maze are reaping the benefits of their victory at The Church Recording Studio as they begin laying down tracks with Dana Cannone behind the board. Guitarist Jerry Welsh tells us the band was absolutely blown away by the quality of the facility and they're very excited to be recording there. We'll keep you posted.

Smokin' Betties will be heating up the Arcade Comedy Theater downtown on April 8th. If you enjoy saucy, sexy and sweet burlesque, this is a show you won't want to miss.


Bill Eberle is a folk rock singer born in Pittsburgh, currently based in Nashville, who was featured in the Rolling Stone article "10 New Country Artists You Need to Know." We'll be profiling him in April.

Sleeping Witch and Saturn, a relatively new band consisting of Matt Vituccio- guitar/vocals; Anna Shaw- bass; Rowdy Kanarek- guitar; and Dylan Chieffalo- drums will be releasing a new single soon. We'll talk to this post-punk/goth rock band in April about what to expect.

We'll also be interviewing Richie Haynes, whose modal jazz improv band has had three shows recently, where they welcome other people on stage to participate.

Black Ridge tells us they will be recording a new song titled, "Paradise" this month.

The band expects it to be released at the end of April or early May.
